Privacy Policy

Last updated September 2026.

Queueist provides booking and scheduling software that barbershops and salons run for their own clients. This policy covers both sides of that: what we collect from a shop's clients when they book an appointment, and what we collect from the shops themselves.

What We Collect

When you book through a shop's Queueist storefront we collect your name and mobile number, the person, service and time you chose, and the appointment's status and history. An email address is optional and is used only to send you a written copy of the booking.

Some shops ask for a card to hold an appointment. Where they do, the card details are entered in a field drawn by Stripe and go from your browser to Stripe directly. Queueist never receives or stores a card number. What we keep is what Stripe hands back: the card's brand, its last four digits, its expiry month and year, and identifiers that let the shop charge it later. Nothing is charged when you book.

If you join a shop's waitlist we collect your name, your mobile number, the service you want, any date range you gave, and your note.

Shops that run on Queueist provide their business information (name, address, hours, phone), their staff roster and roles, their service list and prices, and, where they take payment, the identifier of their own Stripe account.

How It Is Used

Your name and mobile number identify your appointment. They are how the shop's staff know who is booked in their day view, how the shop reaches you if something changes, and how you find your own appointments again without an account. Nothing collected through booking is sold, and nothing is shared with anyone outside the shop you booked with.

If a shop uses our sibling product Operator, its AI receptionist reads and writes that shop's book so it can answer the phone and take a booking. It sees only that shop's appointments.

A shop can text you about openings and appointments where you have given it that number for that purpose, such as by joining the waitlist. You can stop those by replying STOP.

Who Can See It

A shop's staff can see their own clients' names, mobile numbers, appointment history, any notes they have written, and, where a card is on file, its brand and last four digits. A shop cannot see another shop's data. Queueist's own staff can access data only to operate and support the service.

Two processors handle data on our behalf: Stripe for cards and payments, and Resend for the emails we send.

Cookies

We set cookies for one thing: keeping you signed in. Finding your appointments by phone number opens a signed session that lasts thirty days, and a shop's staff signing in to the day board opens one for that shop. There is no advertising or analytics tracking on these pages.

Retention

Appointment records are kept for as long as the shop's account is active, since they form the shop's own booking history. A shop can ask us to delete a client's records on their behalf at any time.

Contact
